Dr. Chaitanya “Chaith” Indukuri is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical management of diseases of the retina and vitreous. With his expertise, he is highly skilled at treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular puckers, macular holes, retinal detachments, vitreous floaters, and many other vitreoretinal diseases.
After Dr. Indukuri graduated from UT Austin, he completed his medical and surgical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He practiced out of state for several years before being fortunate enough to move back to the Austin area to start Retina Group of Texas. Dr. Indukuri is committed to the community he serves and strives to provide personal, respectful, and compassionate care for patients while treating their retinal disease. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Retina Forum, currently serves as a consulting ophthalmologist at St. David’s Medical Center, and has previously served as the president of the Austin Ophthalmology Society.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Dr. Indukuri obsessing over Texas football, reading U.S. and world history, learning new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with his wife and his dog, Basil.
